Please Think of Me..........

Dear Friends - Question for you – Would you feel comfortable introducing me to people who you care about who could use my help?

If so, the next time you’re in a conversation with a family member, friend or neighbor and they mention that they’re considering buying or selling a home (here or elsewhere), would you feel comfortable introducing them to me?

I hope you would. When that happens, please take out your cell phone, look up my number (by the way my cell # is 717-579-1613 if you don’t already have it stored in your phone) and call me immediately. I’d love to help that person.

And yes – thanks for keeping me in mind.

Important Information

I prefer not to mix my business (real estate) with this blog, but I think it's important to alert all - particularly my neighbors and friends to an important component of the recently passed economic stimulation package.

This legislation contains an important provision for potential buyers and sellers of homes. For homes that are purchased by “first time home buyers” and “settled” on between January 1, 2009 and December 1, 2009, the federal government will provide up to an $8,000 tax credit to the buyer. The implication to the first time home buyer is obvious – an $8,000 incentive to buy – stimulating qualified buyers who had been hesitant to pursue a home purchase to now do so. And for those who had been holding off putting their house on the market because of the high level of inventory of homes for sale, now may be the time to “list” that property and attract those “new buyers”. Please share this “good news” with your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers – anyone who might be considering a home purchase or sale.

Want to learn more about this provision? Feel free to call me at your convenience.

Memories

40 years ago I was enjoying what remained of my high school experience. Yes - there will only be one Class of '69 in my lifetime and I was part of it. About this time back then, I was waiting nervously to hear from UConn or Deleware or Gettysburg or even Dickinson to see who might "want" me. No - couldn't afford the Early Acceptance fee so I waited anxiously to hear and decide my fate............................

Semester Breaks - An Abandoned Campus

I was one of those that actually spent a good deal of semester break on campus. No - not because I had nowhere else to go. Rather because the basketball season didn't take the same hiatus as the students. Reflecting back, the campus took on an entirely different perspective when abandoned by students, faculty and many staff. It was actually peaceful, calm and somewhat enjoyable to "hang out" with no classes or exams hanging over your head.

Morgan Rocks

Many of us have fond memories of the "Rocks". They served varied purposes "in the day", but mostly they served as a retreat from the classroom or dorm room. A place to hang out and do whatever. A place to develop relationships.
